Build your own Dragonscale Shield Workshop
Whether you slay them or rule them, dragon scales are the most coveted armor across all fantasy realms. Alas, we do not have dragons at our disposal, so we will have to settle with the next best thing: foam! In this workshop, use Foam Armory’s EVA Foam Scaille Maille to create a completed shield participants can bring home and paint. The workshop includes 2-packs of EVA Foam Scaille Maille, the shield base, a dragon emblem, and other parts as well as blank foam to customize the shield. $75.00.

Light up your cosplay with nLITEn
Introducing nLITEn, the easy to use cosplay lighting kit! The nLITEn hardware paired with the Bekonix software allow designers to add technology to their projects without prior knowledge of soldering, circuitry or programming. At this workshop, participants will purchase their own nLITEn basic kit (1 nLITEn controller, 4 10LED dual edge-emitting strips, 2 extender cables, 1 power injector cord) and receive a live tutorial on using nLITEn to create dynamic light-up costumes! Intro to making soft foam props and puppets
Learn about the techniques that go in to soft foam patterning and fabrication of puppets, including tips and tricks on incorporating soft foam fabrication into your cosplay and costume making.
Your instructor Brendan James Boyd is a professional puppeteer and puppet builder from Alberta Canada who’s work has been seen on stages and screens across the globe. Most recently he puppeteered on Fraggle Rock: Back to the Rock , now streaming on Apple+. $25.00.
